Welcome to Evansdale Elementary School! Evansdale is fortunate to have the hardest working PTA, students, and staff. Our goal every year is to challenge all of our students to reach their academic potential, and we look forward to working with you as we strive for academic excellence and improvement. During the 2010-2011 school year, Evansdale achieved many accomplishments:
The Evansdale Education Foundation was founded during the summer and capped off a successful year with the Red, Hot, and Blue.
Evansdale competed in many county events which included the Reading Bowl, Academic Bowl, Social Studies Fair, Science Olympiad, Technology Fair, Sagamore Hills Math Tournament, and the Science Fair.
Tessa Guthrie competed in the Regional Spelling Bee.
LB Todd and Zachary Keung competed in the Regional Social Studies Fair. Also, LB continued his success at the state level.
Michael Dunbar won the USA Sportsmanship article in the elementary division.
Evansdale was awarded the 2010 Bronze Award for outstanding student achievement.
Mrs. Virdell Pitts is the 2011 Teacher of theYear at Evansdale.
Ms. Bernice Ware is the 2011 Auxiliary Person of the Year at Evansdale.
Ms. Sherea Cook was honored as a "Class-Act Teacher" for 11Alive News.
Please take time to look through the student handbook and the Evansdale/PTA website regarding school policy and procedures that will help make this a successful year for everyone. It would be beneficial for students and parents to discuss the contents of this handbook together. If you have any questions after reading the handbook, please call the school office and we’ll be very happy to help you. Your input is always appreciated, and I hope this handbook helps answer many of your questions and concerns.
